  2. What does the name 7scenes mean?

7scenes was inspired by a quote from William Shakespeare As You Like It: "All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players". We like the approach of the world as a stage. We hope location-based experiences, that we name scenes, can have all of the emotion and drama that scenes in a play have.

  4. What are a scene, a place and a trace?

Three terms you'll come across a lot in 7scenes are scene, place and trace - so here's a short explanation:

    • A scene is a location-based experience - a game or a tour. A scene is a specific collection of rich content, challenges and game elements linked to locations and related to each other through chronology or (game) rules.
    • A place in 7scenes is a location linked with rich content. We have different types of places for you to use: the photo place, sound place, video place, note place, task place and the (game) reward place.
    • A trace is what you leave behind when you play a scene: a GPS trail together with all the interaction you had along the way, places you encountered, messages you sent, photos you uploaded and more.
